Mrs. Don McKean and sister Mrs. Ann Wills visited their mother in Midland one day last week. Mrs. Helen Redman opened the UCW meeting with an appropriate thought for the month, entitled '"The Chris- tian as a Homemaker". This was followed by singing, "When mothers of Salem". Bonnie Gerrow read the scripture telling the story of Jesus visiting at the home of Martha and Mary. The Study was taken joint- ly by Joyce Heayn, Marilyn Manns and Reta Rodman. Through it we were remind- ed that there are physical needs of the family in the home, home-making is a profession and love is in a home if God dwells there. At roll call time there were some beautiful donations presented for the Hospital Spring Fair. Appreciation cards or notes were received from Valerie Martin, Janet Reader, Ethel Redman, Mrs. Elva Martyn, Rev. Preston Brown, Mrs. Marion Hughes, Max and Elizabeth Stich- mann, Mrs. Edith Davis, Fred Pow, and Women's Welfare League. There will be a cleaning bee at 'Grace" Church, Tuesday, May 20.
