Ld JOHN T. CROSIER The death of John T. Crosier occurred in the Port Perry Community Memorial Hospital on May 13, 1975. He $vas in his eightieth year, Son of the late Miles Crosier and Belvedeary Harmon, he was begn August 31, 1895, on the fifth conces- sion of the former Reach Township. Effective May 1st, Mr. John Finlay was appointed by the Ontario Ministry - of Agri- culture and Food to the position of Assistant Agricul- - tural Representative for Ontario County, where he will work out of the Uxbridge Office. _ Among his 'duties in Ontario County will be the responsibility for part of the Junior Extension Program, and he will also assist with most of the other programs of the Ministry. -Appreciates support Dear John, On behald of Central Seven AMR, I would like to express our appreciation of the Port Perry Star's support during our recent fund raising drive "Flowers of Hope". In 1919 he married Kather- ine Stewart of Agincourt and until 1926 farmed the home farm; then moving to London and Kintore where he was in business for ten years. In "1936 he returned to the farm but owing to poor health he retired from farming in 1945 and was a Watkins Salesman for twenty years. In 1950 he moved to Utica where he resided until his death. "He was an ardent lover of hunting, fishing and garden- ing and for over forty years was a member of an Ux- bridge Deer Hunters Club. He was a former school trustee of S.S.5, Reach, a former member of the Board of Stewards of Utica United Church and a member of the Trustee Board of the Hill- man and Kendall Cemeteries at Utica. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Katherine Crosier, his daughter, Jean Scott of London, Ontario and Donna Robison, Sacramenta California, his sons-in-law, Bruce Beare and Waldron Scott and grandchildren, Dale and Dean Beare, Bob, Brenda, and Donna Scott, and Kit, Kirk and Kathy Robison and a sister Maude (Mrs. Frank Vernon) of Prospect. His eldest daught- er, Thelma Beare of Port Perry and a sister, Luella (Mrs. Earl Beare) of Clare- mont pre-deceased him. . The Rev. Archie Scott of- ficiated at the service held in the McDermott-Panabaker Funeral Chapel at Port Perry and at the internment in the Hillman Cemetery at Utica United Church. The pallbearers and the flowers bearers were neigh- bours, Bruce Bailey, Bill Brown, Bruce Geer, Mervyn MacCannell, Bert Mitchell Jim Philip, Jim Claughton and Tom Sutherland.
