An Oshawa team won the tournament. On this past weekend the Ontario County Bush League wasinvited toplace a team in the Second Annual Canadian Tire Tourney. This team was sponsored by Stone Real Estate Ltd. and made up of players from all five of the teamsinthe League. A much better showing was made than many expected as the All-Stars finished the Tour- ney witha 2won -2lost record and with only one practice together, as a team. This record placed the Bush Leaguers in the top eight of the 14 teams competing. 'Compete in tournament After dropping the first game to Udora Srs. 5-2, victories of 9-2 and 11-7 were recorded against the Port Perry Mer- chants Midgets and Good- wood. The second defeat --~came against the Udora team in the fourth round by a 9-4 margin. Stand-outs for the All-Stars were Bill Fairley, third base and captain, Barry McClure, pitcher, and Larry Henderson, coach and pitcher.
