[I ld ] 7 Timmy, 5, and Karo led by the Cartwright Fife and Drum Corps A number of floats, exhi-* bits, as well' as clowns, youngsters, classic automo- biles and other entries made the parade a colourful one. The floats and exhibits "ranged from a local farm equipment dealer to a group of young people from Black- stock's north end. "And we can see," said MC Glen Larmer, "that the north Brian Van Camp, 9, a member of the Cartwright hil n Kyte, 6. . and kids have come through again this year." Perhaps the highlight of the Saturday fair was a crowd-pleasing performance by the Rebounders, a tramp- oline team that not only displayed top notch skills but also a hurhourous display of what not to do on a tramp line. '. The group performed twice on Saturday. Another group, that were well received by the fair- goers was the DS Park Waldheim oompa band and German Folk Dancers. As well as entering two floats in the parade, the group played music for the audiences at the fair and performed native dances. Residents of Blackstock and area as well as visitors from outside the area made for a'full capacity crowd. Display buildings, grand- stand, and midway. facilities were packed for most of the day. Included in the days events was a Flip Your Flgp Jack contest open to both men and women, a-Launch Your Bal- Joel and Vicki Schryburt enj sent hundreds of helium filled balloons aloft. Branch of the Ontario Minis- try of Agriculture and Food officially opened the Fair after the parade arrived at the fair grounds.
