Ken Dowson, born and raised in Port Perry where he went to both public and high school, Mr. Dowson worked for Dunlop Canada Ltd. in Whitby before joining his father in the grocery' business here ten years ago. Married with four children, he a past noble grand of the Warriner Lodge 1.0.0.F. and a member of the Jouris- dictional Youth Council of Ontario. He Is' director-and past president of the Port Perry Chamber of Commerce, of which he has been a member for nine years. He is also secretary of the board of stewards of the Port Perry Unitett Church. The business here has steadily grown since his father purchased the store in 1949 . Mr. Dowson also operates the cafeteria at the Port Perry High School.
