Sixty-four players have turned out for the first two sessions held on Thursday. and Sunday nights and coach Wayne Redshaw will have a tough time making player cuts this week, as competi tion for positions is quite keen. The Flamingos had only four players at Sundays practise who played last year, but three more are expected out. on 'Tuesday which should give some ex- perience to a young team. One young man making a big effort to play for the local club this season is Bill Eritz from Coraopolis, Pennsyl- vania, which is nine miles from Pittsburg. Bill contacted team presi- dent Jack Kane during the summer requesting-a tryout wayelled by bus all night 1 make the first practise last Thursday. The young 18 year old is one of ten goaltenders "is camp and brings an im- pressive 1-92 goals average in 48 games last season when he played for Montour High with the Junior Club and -- School. When interviewed follow- ing' Sundays practise Bill explained that if he was unsuccessful in making the Flamingos he would not be disappointed. and- would enter college in January and Nay hockey at that level. The Flamingos will contin- ue there workouts on Tues- day night (last night) and will hold an inter-squad game on Thursday. On Sunday September 28 Cobourg Cougars will play an exhibition game at the Uxbridge Arena at 8 p.m. IIL.
