20-- PORT PERRY STAR -- Wednesday, Sept. 24, 1975 The Seagrave United Church Anniversary Service will be celebrated next Sun- day, September 28 with Rev. George Phillips as' guest speaker. Our Sunday School and Church Services will be withdrawn so that all may share in the worship at Sea- grave. Rev. J.'Roundell baptised Robert Darin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Bacon, during the Service on Sunday. Present for the occasion were the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. - G. Preeace -of England who are visiting their daughter at this time. We are pleased to report Mrs. Elwood Clements is . home from hospital. Mr. and Mrs. D. Paxton, Willowdale visited with Mr. and Mrs. V. Mount on Mon. Mr. and Mrs. Herb Paisley visited on Friday with Mr. and Mrs. H. Phoenix. Dr. McKinney of Brooklin was a visitor on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Art Couyes. Mr. and Mrs. Alan Emp- ringham of Agincourt were Suigay guests with Mr. and AEE BNA UA ane SE ra Mrs. Archie Empringham. Dr. and Mrs. Art Lee and daughter Mrs. Wells, Toron- to visited with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lee recently. 'Mr. and Mrs. John Phoenix, Toronto spent the weekend with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Fred Phoenix. A number of 4-H Club members participated in the events at Lindsay Fair. Con- gratulations to the winners. Mr. Garfield Beare of Fill- more, Sask. has been visiting relatives in the area and will be taking in the Plowing Match. Mr. and Mrs. Art Couves attended the Plowing Match at Brampton last Friday and also visited her sister 'Mr. and Mrs. Montgomery "at Eden Mills recently. Mr. and Mrs. H. Phoenix spent the weekend in Toronto visiting with his sister Miss" Jean Phoenix and Mr. and Mrs. Keith Bagg and family. Mr. and Mrs. George 'Beaton attended Annivers- ary Services at Wick Presby- terian Church.on Sunday. The W.I. ladies 'will be working in the craft tent at .the Plowing Match on Wed. and helping to sell food in the Snack Tend on Friday. Be - sure to drop by and see the craft demonstration. They sympathy of the com- munity is extended to Mr. and Mrs. Gonnerman for the loss of his mother.
