Mrs. W. Somerville and family attended. Mr. Lloyd Ashenhurst of Cardinal, Ontario, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Armour McMillan over the past two weekends. Mr. Don Blakely is home from Guelph for a few days. He and Mr. John Somerville are attending Hereford sales at Fowler Corners and Brooklin this week. Mr. and Mrs, F. Abernethy were entertained at the home of Mr, and Mrs. Ivan Spencer by the Greenbank United Church Adult Sunday School class which Mrs. Abernethy taught. They are leaving our district soon and shall be greatly missed. We wish them well in their new home. Mr. and Mrs. V. Mount attended the Annual Ontario Milk Transportation Banquet in Toronto on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. A. Empring- ham visited Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Empringham of Ux- bridge for a birthday dinner on Saturday evening. Mr. Earl and Mr. Keith Phoenix attended the Peter- borough Holstein Champion- ship show last week. : Mrs. Earl Phoenix and children visited her sister, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Buttery of Peter- borough at the same time. Several farmers were at from Greenbank area the Holstein Championship show at Peterborough last Wednesday. Quite a number of people from Greenbank attended the Pinedale Church anni- versary on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Willie Stone were at Pinedale Service and then visited with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hoskin. Mrs. Shirley Nichol and baby, Shane, were with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Diamond, a few days last week. While there, they spent Thanksgiving with the Don Stevens family of Agin- court. Congratulations are in order for Clay and Vi Brand- er on the birth of a baby girl last week. Rev. Keith McMillan will be the guest speaker at the Greenbank Church Anniver- sary Service, November 2 at 11 o'clock... A Pot Luck luncheon will bé served after the service, an invitation is extended to all. Mr. and Mrs. Archie Mc- Millan and Mrs. Adelaide Mc Lennan visited with Mr. and Mrs. Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Mc Millandinner guests with Mr, and Mrs. Norman Smith on Saturday.
