Making their second ap- pearance of the season in Bowmanville this year, the Flamingos lost a rough hockey game they could have and should have won. The two clubs traded goals in the first period as Rory Gibbs put the Red Eagles into an early lead only to have Doug Christie score his first of three goals and tie up the contest. The inexperience of the Flamingos defense showed upin the second period as two miscues at the blueline allow- ed the Red Eagles to take a 3-1 lead. The Flamingos put on tremendous pressure at the end of the period and goals by Carlo Cammazzola on a beautiful solo rush and one by Doug Christie sent the Clubs to the dressing rooms ties 3-3 after two periods. On three occasions in the final period, the Flamingos took one goal leads only to have the' Red Eagles come back to tie up the game. At 16:51 of the period, Doug Christie appeared to have put the local team ahead to stay with his third of the night, but John Wood scored two quick goals in the final three min- INVEST NOW! Bob Marquis and Carlo Cammazzola with his second rounded out the local scoring. Jamie Malcolm playing one of the best games of the season for the Flamingos, carried the play out of his own end on many occasions and played well defensively. Frankford Huskies took an 8-5 win at home on Friday over the 'Bowmanville Red Eagles while Lindsay scored two goals in the last four minutes to edge Cobourg Cougars 4-2.
