Sympathy is extended to Mrs. Armour McMillan on the passing of her brother Mr. Reedy Ashenhurst of Toronto. Kelly Lee and Mark McKean left Sunday to at- tend the Kitchener and area judging tour of the Junior Farmers. Prize winners at the euchre on Friday night, which was attended by a good crowd were, ladies first Mrs. Phylis Clarke, second Mrs. Olive McMillan, third Mrs. Myrtle Thomas. Gents first John Sommerville, sec- ond Charles Hadden, third --Bill--Harrison.- Door--prizes--- were won by Mrs. Myrtle Alsop and Hardy Noble. Mrs. M. McGee held a birthday party on Monday to celebrate her mother, Mrs. Waddels, eighty-fourth birth- day. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Phoenix left Saturday morn- ing to spend the winter at their sunny home in Florida. Mrs. Betty Stone ana mrs. Parade marshall Frank Harris can be seen to the right. i i i a Jack Lee, Poppy chairman reads the names of those who lost their lives in the war. Women's Institute Conven- tion held last Thursday and Friday at the Royal York Hotel. Also attending were Mrs. Tony Minton, the Greenbank Institute dele- gate and Mrs. Fred Phoenix. Everyone enjoyed the enter- tainment provided by Janice Jill and Kathy Stone and Mrs. Marilyn Gibney. Mrs. Walter Baker, Stouff- ville visited with her daught- er, Mrs. Len Jarvis last week. Making the most of the lovely weather last week, Mr. and Mrs. R. Baird and Mrs. M. Parish visited on Thursday with relatives in Sutton. On Sunday their neig- hbours Dave and Kathy James took them driving and * visited with Glenus and Cecil Simmons of Curtis. Mr. and Mrs. Hubbard and family of Omemee visited with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Innes on Sunday. Miss Marie Raines spent a few days with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Morley Raines prior to her departure on an extended tour to Australia and New Zealand. The Greenbank Womans Institute November meeting will be held on the 19th at 8 p.m. in the home of Mrs. Toni Minton. Rev. Reg Rose can be seen at the left. Silver Cross Mother Mrs. L.
