"Irecived a letter from a little boy, named Tommy and he wants "a model train but T haven't enough time to make it," saidn Santa Claus. "I don't want to disappoint him, either," "Well, didn't we have an extra electric train that the elves made last Christmas?" = said Mrs. Claus. "Well, I believe we do at that!" replied Santa, cheerfully. "I'll go down to the elves' workshop right now and see if I can find it." As .santa walked down the hall towards. the workshop, his wife called, "Santa, I think it'might be on the top shelf next to the window." "Okay" answered Santa. As-- Santa went in the workshop he cried out, ""I found it! It only needs a little polishing What Christmas Means To Me To me Christmas is the anniversary of the birth of Christ. We have a Christmas tree as it is a tradition in most familys: This tradition of the Christ- mas tree originated in Ger- many and England. This to me is very import- ant. However, I like it when we get off school for the Christmas holidays. Now I think that Christmas is not too far away. I also enjoy peeking at the Christmas list but always we seem to get caught. However, that is part of the fun of greasing that little peek. This year we get off school for two weeks which is the longest we will have, that means if there is a lot of snow we will be able to go snowmobiling. But althrough the Christ- mas holidays I think of Christ in the little manger with the people watching him and showing warmth and love towards him. So remember on your Christ- mas vacation to think of Christ's birth and be loving towards your fellow men. Then finally to Tommy's house. After that Santa went many other places and final- ly home. When Tominy woke up he was overjoyed .to see he had gotten an electric train instead of a model one. Later-that day Tommy wrote a thank you note to Santa. When Santa recived the note he was glad Tommy liked the train. After supper Tommy went up to his mother and said, "Santa is a swell guy!" Then he marched off to bed. Leisa Barclay Grade 6 Prince Albert P.S. So I asked people what Christmas meant to them. Most of them said that they thought Christmas was just a time for receiving gifts. There was just one little girl who knew what Christmas was all about. She told me that we celebrate Christ's birthday. So, this Christmas when you are opening your gifts, you know the reason why The End Shirley Chambers Prince Albert PS. and Staff Si With hearts full of wonder at the eternal beauties of Nature, we savour the magic of Christmas and its eternal meaning.
