I know Peter will endeavour to fill his fathers position to the very best of his ability and we will con- tinue to enjoy many, many years of good reading as we have been priviledged to do in the past. We also wish Mr. Hvidsten Sr. success and happiness during his retire- ment years and may he enjoy the contentment re- ceived from providing a fine medium of entertainment for his many readers for the past years. Mr. and Mrs. Greg Smith, Ian and Emily enjoy- ed having dinner at the home of Mrs. Elaine Smith in Toronto recently. Thursday evening the UCW Executive met at the home of Mrs. Glenda Hutcheon to suggest ideas for UCW functions in 1976.- The suggestions and recom- mendations will be present- ed at the next general UCW meeting on Wed. January 14 at 8:00 pm. - Mrs. Lillian Burgogne of Grande Prairie, Alberta was the guest of honour at a family get-together at the home of Mrs. Ferguson in Toronto. Mrs. Burgogne is a sister of Mrs. Jackie Boyle and Jackie and her family also were present at the reunion. - Mrs. Mabel Hurst is sporting a new addition to her wardrobe these days. She had the misfortune to slip and fall and in doing so fractured her left arm. Hope it won't be too long until you will beable to have the cast removed. During the past month one of our families have moved out of the village and another family has arrived. We wish Mr. and Mrs. New- man and family happiness in their new residence and we welcome into the village Mr. and Mrs. Janowski who are occupying the house which formerly belonged to the Kirkland family. Our Sunday ¢ School members enjoyed the music supplied by our pianist of the day, Mrs. Gertie Wanamak- er. It seems that we have a budding new pianist and organist within our midst.
