At the meeting , the annual report from (he library was presented to the Board, whose members were pleased to find the number of registered bor- rowers had risen to 2,255, the number of circulated (books and periodicals lent fron: both departments) was * ry and the number of books owned by the library had reached 10,210. The number of interlibrary loans has increased greatly during the year, 247 transactions with other libraries carried out. Present members of the Library Board are Helen O'Reilly - (chair person), Patricia Sleep (secretary), Anne Gliddon (treasurer), Helen Redman, Carol Williamson, Bill O'Brien, Gregory Fedyk, and, as mayor of the municipality, Lawrence Malcolm. Because of the bad weather the meeting was fairly short. Several of the members will be taking part in the Zone Darts Tourna- ment at Whitby on Saturday, Jan. 17th and also the Zone Phone 985-8091 Bowling Tournament at Oshawa on Saturday, Jan. 31st. Brawn's sermon was well worth hearing. Offering gathered by Mr. T. Hodgins and Mr. D. McMillan. Following the worship, nearly 30 folk enjoyed lunch downstairs accompanied by the usual socialibility.
