Honoured at the brief pre- sentation ceremony were retiring employees Ben Pic- kard, who has retired after 25 years on the fire depart- ment; Harold Dobson, roads department employee for v employee Harold Dobson. 2 4 hg Coun. Hunter with plaque for retired roads seven years; and Frank Andrews, road department employee for 18 years. Mr. Andrews couldn't make it in person for the event. Sue Gribben was honoured for an outstanding record of national and international victories in Judo competit- ions, and David Porter for outstanding achievement in figure skating in 1975. The Port Perry Merchants Midgets were awarded plaques for the all-Ontario Midget "C" championship achievement last year. i . I believe our Council supports the two lane plan but the Region keeps claim- ing that our council is in favour of three lanes.
