Arena Broomball SMIT'S CYCLE 3 BRIAN'S SUPERTEST 1 With Smit's and Brian's battling for third spot it 'made the game very close and rough. Smit's came out with the victory picking up three goals to Brian's one. All scoring was done in the second period leaving the first and third period score- less. Smit's scored twice before Brian's reacted at 1:30 by Ron Short from Don Gray and the second at 8:50 by-Pat Thompson from Ron Short and Dave Durham. Brian's tried to come back at 10:25 with an unassisted goal by Ken Fraser but Smit's scored again at 12:10 with a goal by Ron Short from Pat Thompson. UTICA AUTO BODY 4 CAWKER'S BUTCHERS 1 Utica dominated through- out most of the game keep- ing - Cawker's pinned into Sports atHS Midget Boys Basketball Results - February 3rd. Port Perry defeated Central 63-44 in a rather loosely played game. The Port team jumped out into a 12 point lead in the first quarter, but by half-time - were only leading by a slim two points. In the third quarter, Port actually fell behind, but a strong scoring fourth quarter subdued the Central squad. Top scorers for Port were Bill Owen (18), Gred Fedyk (11), Gord Simmonds (10). Port's record is 3-2 in league play and 10-3 in the season. Intramural Hockey In the first game, Lane's Red Raiders defeated Litt's Green Masters 6-3. Rick Rahm played a strong game for Lane. In the second game, Elliott's Yellow Peril led by McEnaney, Taylor and cap- tain Bob prevailed over Randy Knight's White Torn- adors. Junior Girls Volleyball Last Wednesday, the Junior Girls played an ex- hibition games against Donevan. COULTER 1 BROOKLIN LEGION 1 Second place team Brook- lin under-estimated last place Coulter's, but Coul- . ter's fought hard throughout 'the entire game holding Brooklin down to one goal and picking up a goal them- selves. The first and third periods were scoreless, leay- . ing all scoring in the second. Brooklin drew first blood at the 3:40 mark when Ken Vipond scored from Glen Kellock. But Coulter's never gave up and came back at the 6:20 mark to tie the game with an unassisted goal by Rick Collins. The score stayed the same for the - remainder of the game. NOTICE Broomball Tournament, Bobcats victorious in 2 games, lose tournament PORT PERRY 3 PICKERING 2 On Sunday, February 1, the Murray Williams Bob- cats Midget 2 Club travelled to Pickering and came home with a three to two victory. Pickering led two to nothing after two periods but the Bobcats came fighting back in the third. Peter Lane scored first, . then Kevin Martens tied the game up. Then with 36 seconds left in the game, Peter Lane scor- ed his second goal to give the Bobcats the victory. PORT PERRY 6 STOUFFVILLE 2 On Thursday, February 5, the Murray Williams Bob- cats Midget 2 Club hosted Stouffville and came up with a six to two victory. Robert Parker, Jay Adam, Ritchie Lefort, Kevin Martens, Tom Perigoe and Robert Baird were the scorers in the Bob- cats victory. LITTLE BRITAIN TOURNAMENT © On Saturday, Feb. 7, the Bobcats travelled to Little Britain to enter in their Annual Tournament and came home with the worst showing at a tournament yet, losing both games. Robert Baird scored the Bobcats lone goal in losing February 13th and 14th. Friday at 8:15 p.m. and all day Saturday, a.m. from 7:00. to Keene, six to one. Then in the second game Jay Adam, Kenton Baird, and Tom Per- igoe scored in a four to three loss to Woodville. ° BOWMANVILLE 4 PORT PERRY 2 On Saturday night, Feb. 7, the Murray Williams Midget 2 Club travelled to Bowman- ville and came home with a four to two loss.
