Everyone has been very busy working on the three one-act plays which are to be presented Friday and Saturday, March 12th and 13th at the Recreation Centre in Blackstock at 8:30. We have had quite a time gathering props and assembling cosumes, as well as squeezing in as many rehearsels as possible. We hope for a good turn-out to support our efforts. Two injured in Sunday accident Two people are in hospital following an early Sunday afternoon accident on High- way 7, just north of Prospect Corners." Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Don Gerrow who have their first little granddaught- er to claim their attention and joy. The Island people who went to Florida this winter met many of their Ontario and Island friends there. Mrs. Edith Davis was also fortunate in having a south- ern vacation. On Sunday many Island children again found their way back to Sunday School. Rev. Pogue's story for them evolved from a recent event. All children love to build houses of some sort from various materials. Recently a few boys acquired some large packing boxes which they modelled into interest- ing and satisfying arrange- ments. However, the recent storm flattened them and destroyed their labours. Of course this t to mind the Bible story about build- ing on sand. This developed in the realization that many people build their lives on poor foundations and cause hurt to others as well as themselves. Naturally adult sermons are leading up to Easter. After Church, the Sunday School leaders prepared lunch for the scholars and then took them for a skating party at the rink. We thank them very much for their time and consideration. We do have some very dedicated leaders now. Let's encour- age them.
