ASLING William Walter Asling passed away at Fairview Lodge on March 3, 1976 after an illness of three weeks. Born on May 2, 1887 in * Vaughn Township, the son of Chester Asling and Jane MacGregor, he married Sarah Alma Lambe on April 26, 1911. . The most part of his life was spent as a farmer and gardener in the Epsom area, until going to Fairview Frederick C. Lawrence Funeral service was held on Monday, March 8th, for Frederick Charles Lawrence who passed. away at 'the Central Hospial, Toronto. He was the father of Allan Lawrence, M.P. for Northumberland-Durham. Mr. Lawrence would have been 100 years of age on April 26th. As a young man he served with the British army, and was in the honour guard at the Diamond Jubilee of Quen Victoria. He came to Canada in 1911 and settled in Toronto after spending sometime in the west. Mr. Lawrence was a carpenter, and worked at his trade until he was 80 years old. He is survived by his widow, Elizabeth Ann Bal- lantyne, 3 children, Mrs. Marguerite Allen, Kenneth D., and Allan, 10 grandchild- ren and six great grand- children.
