For this reason, the deadline for claims under the two stabilization programmes was extended to April 30th, 1976, and eligible producers are urged to get: their claims in as soon as possible so that they may be. considered for payment. The Cow Slaughter Stabilization Programme was in effect from November 16th, 1974 to April 30th, 1975. Producers who sold cows during that period can claim a payment of $5.08 per hundred weight (live weight) on up to 5 per cent of their herd. The Beef Stabilization Programme for the period August- 12th, 1974, to August 11th, 1975, offers a payment of 48c per hundred weight (live weight) for AB and C quality cattle sold for slaughter during that - time. Claim forms for bo programmes are available from packing plants, public stockyards, sales barns, Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food Offices, and staff of Agriculture Canada's Livestock Divisions across the country. A Sonos A meeting of interest to sheep owners in the York, Peel and Durham Regions will be held in the Victoria Square Community Hall, Victoria Square, on Wednes- day, April 14th, at 7:30 in the evening. .
