'es HEATING eo RESIDENTIAL ¢ COMMERCIAL ELECTRICAL The arm Scene HIGH YIELD CORN CLUB RE-ORGANIZES As a result of a meeting held a short time ago, a decision was made to re-organize the Ontario County 125 Bushel Corn Club for the 1976 crop year, with Steve DenOuden, R. R. 2, Uxbridge, as the club chairman. This club is open to all grain corn growers in the former Ontario County area. The main regulations for the club are as follows: 1. The competition plot shall be three acres. 2. The growers will be privileged to use any corn variety. 3. Contestants may use any means at his disposal to' obtain the highest possible yield on the three acres ~ entered for competition. 4. The three acres'in the contest must be staked off and properly identified by October 1st, 1976. 5. To constitute a competition, there must be at least 12 contestants. 6. Prizes shall be awarded to growers on the basis of high total yield of corn on the competition plots. 7. The competition will be limited to the first 35 entries. 8. Applications for membership will be accepted up to June 1st, 1976, and should be mailed to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, Uxbridge, by that date. 9. Interested growers. can obtain complete information on the competition at the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food office in Uxbridge. MILK PRODUCERS' INFORMATION MEETING Because of the uncertainties in the dairy industry over the past several weeks, and as a result of the large number of inquiries that have been received from pro- ducers, the Ontario County Milk Committee has decided to hold a producer information meeting in the Town Hall, Sunderland, on Monday, May 31st at 8:15 pm. . The speaker on this occasion will be Mr. George McLaughlin, Chairman of the Ontario Milk Marketing Board. The Federal Dairy Policy and the Ontario Milk Marketing Board Quota Policy will be among the main topics that will be discussed. We know that producers have many questions regarding the dairy industry at this time, and all interested producers are invited to attend. OFFICE VISITS, MILK MARKETING BOARD FIELDMAN Milk producers are advised that the Ontario Milk Marketing Board Fieldman, Mr. Wally Cavanagh makes regular visits to the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food office in Uxbridge, for appoint- ments on the 4th Thursday of each month, Mr. Cavanagh will be in the Uxbridge office on the afternoon of Thursday, May 27th, and producers, who would like to see Mr. Cavanagh at that time, are advised to telephone for an appointment. Many of these students have had previous farm experience, and are anxious and willing to accept a farm job.
