Roundell enjoyed a pleasant holiday touring in Ontario, visiting many of the Provincial Parks and camp sites. Mr. and Mrs. Art Gallant of Toronto spent the weekend with her sister, Rev. and Mrs. Roundell. Us Fall activities are in order once again. The afternoon Unit of the U.C.W. will meet on Thurs., September 9 at 2 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Mona Mero. The evening Unit will meet Wednesday, September 8 at 8:15 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Glen Till. The sympathy of the com- munity is extended to Mr. and Mrs. Ron Young and family on the death of his father, Mr. J. Young of Cobourg. Mrs. Mona Mero visited Mr. and Mrs. R. Wright of Caledon East and called on many of her former school pupils. She also visited her brother, Mr. and Mrs. C. Horne of Listowel, Mrs. L. Waddell and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Anderson and family of Brampton. as Recent dinner guests with Mr. and Mrs. Mel McGee were Mr. and Mrs. Ted Woodyard, Orono, Mrs. Gor- don Smith of Colborne, daughter Debbie and Mr. Brian Beattie of Toronto. The happy occasion being the celebration of Debbie and Brian's engagement. Misses Susan Parish and Janice McGee visited "in Toronto last week with Janice's sister, Debbie. Mr. and Mrs. George Beaton attended the Beaton reunion at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roger McKnight of Leaskdale on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Murphy and Mr. and Mrs. Alan Ball and David were guests with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lee on Sunday. Island home of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Carter. Mrs. Stephan of Estavan, Sask., particularly enjoyed it, as it was her first experience with this type of social gathering. On Wednesday evening of September 1, the "Head" U.C.W. got away to a good start when 15 ladies met at the home of Mrs. Marion Carter. After the summer recess, and busy days, there was much catching up. The devotions were con- ducted by Marilyn Tripp's group. Therefore the study, "Let's Face Ourselves' was presented by Bonnie with "Our Personal Problems" and "Bible Study'; Myrtle with "our Gifts"; Irene with "Our Faith" and Myrtle "How we respond to Needs". The roll call, "What do you do, when you do as you please?' resulted in learning that the majority prefer to read.
