Their successful House Tour and Tea was a spicy blend of old and new, efficiency and elegance. The home of Mr. and 'Mrs. James Catty, RR 2, Black- stock was an impressive structure, inside and out. Passing through the iron gates of the courtyard and past the blind stare of the sculptured lady, you entered into the atrium highlightéd with an indoor pool. The downstairs also con- tained a sauna, an efficient kitchen and a well-informed reading room. Ascending the back staircase you came upon the master bedroom and bath adorned in mellow shades of beige and green tapestry. The bedrooms of the child- ren were decorated to per- sonal tastes - from Canadian STR by the interior decor 'of the ranch-style bungalow. Pine to funky figures. These three bedrooms opened into the atrium with sliding doors. This ultra modern home built on one hundred and fifty acres of wooded countryside is a far cry from the cabins of our first pioneers.
