Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wilson and family had supper on Sunday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Irwin. On Friday evening, Miss Joyce Wilson of Willowdale entertained her mother, Mrs. Earl Wilson, sister Mrs. Dennis Irwin and Mark, and her two grandmothers, Mrs. GM sales up General Motors dealers in Canada shattered all previous model year sales records for both cars and trucks during the 1976 model year which ended September 30th, J.D. All-time record vehicle deliveries of 525,779 for the 1976 model year were 15.4 percent higher than last year and 11.3 percent above the prior record set in 1974. Stear- man and Christopher of Ingersoll were weekend guests with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Kerry. Rev. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Wilson of Harmony Baptist Church, Oshawa, were with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Wilson on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Cracknell, Mrs. Pat Jackson and Troy were with Mr. and Mrs. M. Bailey for Thanksgiving dinner. Mrs. Harry Pospolita and Jennifer of Fort McMurray Alberta have been visiting Mr. and Mrs. Walter Kerry for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Archie Watson had their family, Fred of Ajax, Andrew of Guelph, and Ronald of Scar- borough, their wives and families, also Mrs. Watson's brother and his wife of Tor- onto, as dinner guests on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Acton of Uxbridge were 'dinner guests with Mr. and Mrs. Ross Evans on Monday. On Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Evans and family were dinner guests with Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Wilson. The Epsom Centennial Choir will be singing at Pine Grove Anniversary Sunday, Oct. 17th at 3 p.m. Everyone is invited. "We are pleased to learn that Ray Medd is able to be home from the hospital. On October 31, our former minister Rev. Ralph King will conduct a Church ser- vice at 2:30 p.m. Thanksgiving visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Norman Tap- scott were his parents Mr. and Mrs. Charles Tapscott, and her parents Mr. and Mrs. Herb Thomas, both of Markham, and their son, John, home from Queen's University at Kingston. We are sorry to learn that Miss Vera Prentice is in Uxbridge Hospital. We wish her a speedy recovery. Mr. and Mrs. Milton How- sam called to see Mr. Clifton Gibson on Friday before they left for Florida. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Ash- ton were dinner guests on Monday with Mr. and Mrs. Allen Ashton and family of Sonya. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Tay- lor's daughter, Ruth, was home from Lindsay for the weekend. We wish a speedy recovery for Mrs. Myrtle Thomas who is in Port Perry Hospital Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Wilson called on Mr. and Mrs. Ross Evans on Sunday evening. Nestleton W.1. see interesting slides _ The Women's Institute met on Wednesday afternoon, October 6 at the Nestleton Community Centre. Malcolm was to forward to the District the Resolution re unnecessary X-rays. An excellent full length movie, '"The Hiding Place", the true story of Corrie tea Boom will be shown at the Marks Theatre in Oshawa early in November. Davison, Educ- ation and Cultural affairs convenor presided for the program. Miss R. Proutt * gave the Motto, 'Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder". She told of natural beauty found across - Canada and closed with a poem "Autumn "Woods". Mrs. R.
