However, the weather scene outside the church left something to be desired - let's hope our next snowfall comes much, much later! A few of our local residents attended the cere- mony and later a reception was held at the Latcham Cenire in Port Perry. Con- gratulations to this happy couple who will be making their home in Oshawa.' Thank you to Mrs. Betty Sommerville who tastefully decorated the front of the Church for Thanksgiving Sunday and also to our choir who are sounding better every week. Happy birthdays are ex- tended to Mrs. Glenda Hutcheon, Master Lee Beacock and Master Darren Desautels and to anyone else who recently celebrated a birthday. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Bill Wanamaker on the safe arrival of their new daughter Sara. Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Evans of Weyburn, Saskatchewan and Mr. and Mrs. William Hollinger of Markham were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Puckrin last week. Mr. and Mrs.- Roger Boyle and girls spent an enjoyable Thanksgiving with Rogers' family in Burlington, Mr. and Mrs. Don Beacock and boys spent their Thanks- giving dinner at the home of Don's parents, Mr,.and Mrs. Les Beacock of Prince Albert on Sunday, Then on Monday the Beacock family were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Rodd. We wish Mr. Fred Knobbs a speedy return to good health after his recent stay in hospital. Mrs. Reta Boe journeyed to Kingston to spend the long holiday weekend with her son Mr. Carl Boe. Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Sturman, Mr. and Mrs. Al Sweetman and family, Mr. and Mrs. Reg. Sturman and family, and Mr. Les Sturman and family were Thanksgiv- ing . dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ken Sturman.
