Object of ACCORD, inclu- ding the chambers of Ajax, Bowmanville, Newcastle, Orono, Oshawa, Whitby and Scugog, will be perpetuate ae. stronger Chamber of Com- merce movement in the various communities within the region, and, where possible, co-operate on matters which are believed sweru at, pe to bein the best interest of the citizens of the Region. ACCORD has had three meetings this year...the first two being organiza- tional in nature and, subse- quent to. these meetings, approval was received from the various Boards of Direc- tors *of the individual Chambers to participate in ACCORD. The third meeting - Tues- day, October 26th - was primarily for the purpose of determining various projects, issues, etc., that ACCORD should be involved in during 1977 and beyond. A Seminar 'Government Services to Business'...will be sponsored by ACCORD - on Wed., Dec. 1st, at the Genosha Hotel...from 9 a.m. through until about 4 p.m. Invitations will' be mailed shortly to all business and Chamber members in the Region of Durham.
