Mrs. Pugh remarked on as President of the Auxili- ary and expressed thanks to all for their help and co- operation and to Mr. Brown and Mrs. MacIntyre. She also briefly commented on the Hospital Auxiliaries ,- Convention in| Toronto which she and Mrs. Cantion had the priviledge of attend- ing recently. : Mr. Howard Hall, Chair- man. of the Hospital Board, - brought greetings to the auxiliary and congratulated the ladies for their efforts on the work of the auxiliary. Mr. Brown, hospital admini- strator too expressed his appreciation on the work of auxiliary and was pleased to accept a cheque of $1250. * used to purchase new equip- ment in the hospital. Mrs. Huston reported a good increase in sales in the Tuck Shop for the past year and the treasurers report showed a very profitable part of the auxiliary. Mrs. Huston report also that there were 22 active volunteer workers. at the present time. Mrs. Mc Dermott informed the meet- ing that there were 10 candy strippers working during the summer and. at present 3 on Saturdays. Mrs. McDermott acted as chairman for the reading of the newly formed constitu- tion and set of by-laws for the auxiliary. After dis- cussion, it was voted that this constitution and by- laws be accepted as was presented with the deletion and changes as discussed and be ready jo be voted on | for - acceptence at the Mrs. Mary Cannon, Ist Vice President, will. com- plete the term of Mrs. Lurch as representative to the Hospital Board. . Committees were appoin- ted to look after the Christ- "mas favours in the hospital. " The doll draw will take place Dec. 11. The prizes are on display in Mr. Brook's Feed Store window on Queen St., Port Perry and tickets are 'available from auxiliary toembers. Next meeting of the auxiliary will he held on Monday, Dec. 13 at 2 p.m. , in the hospital and each lady is asked to bring an -unwrapped gift for the Tuck Shop.
