Dairy Princess speakes to Blackstock UCW by Mrs. Pat Fletcher The February meeting of the U.C.W. evening Unit was held at the home of Edith McLaughlin. Sixteen girls were in attendance. Sharon Essery, president, showed the wool that had been sent to the .U.C.W. by the Canadian Save the Children. Fund. Jean Adams explained what happens to the articles that the women knit. Most of the girls had not realized ~ that many of these articles are sold from the "Cansave' head office and then the money is used for more wool, clothing, or whatever else they feel is required. Jean Adams discussed the possibility of the three U.C.W. units adopting a child overseas. During the discussion it was stressed that the amount required from each unit would be separate from the mission fund.
