Two minutes of silence was observed in memory of one of our=oldest and most faithful members, Mrs. W. W. VanCamp. She started her talk with the definition of the word education and brought out the fact that our educa- tion needs are changing rapidly and so provide a much broader choice to students. Mrs. Harold Martyn and Mrs. Roy McLaughlin took a short course on a Festival of Dairy Foods at Orono and in their very capable manner proceeded to dem- onstrate several tempting dishes, They spoke of -the Dairy Industry in general and of the many different products produced by this very important and necessary industry... Many wives of local dairy farmers were among the 45 guests. Dora and Edith made Bologna Surprise, Colorful Sole Fillets, Macaroni and Cheese Casserole starting off with raw macaroni and Cool Lemon Mold. Carnaghan - Garrity The wedding took place December 30 in Sarnia of Jim Carnaghan and Janet Garrity. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Garrity of Forest, Ontario, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John B. Carnaghan, Blackstock. The ceremony took place at the home of Rev. J. S. Maid of honour was Mary- Joe Garrity, sister of the bride. A reception was held at the Fogcutter, Port Huron, Mich. The couple will live in Sarnia. Mr. Carnaghan is city editor of the Sarnia Observer. The bride is a registered nurse at McKenzie Memorial Hospital, dusky, Mich.
