Club president Peggy Myers said the interest shown was excellent, and shows promise of further growth and activity of the club. '"This kind of thing shows us just where the interest is and how we can plan for the future," said Mrs. Myers. '"We'll use this information to prepare for our next workshop and perhaps for the programs we'll under- take." In just four short months of operation, the club has outgrown the initial meeting place, the Scugog Street home of Mrs. Myers. An arrangement has been made with Town Hall 1873 commit- tee, and the guild now holds meetings once a month, plus a series of workshops have Beta Sigma meet bi-monthly The Beta Sigma Phi girls of Port Perry, Theta Delta Chapter, have held an excit- ing round of happenings since my last report. Twice monthly we attend a meeting to" plan our socials and discuss service activities. = The business meeting is followed by a short program presented by two members. In January Fran _Sluggitt and. Donna Donnally clued us in to our GOING OVERSEAS PASSPORT "speach" habits. Norrine Crosier was a guest speaker who encouraged us in our appreciation of beauty. In February, Cathy Gun- dry and Carol Williamson raised questions on philos- ophy. ~ A program on. religion by Bunny Rowland and Eleanor Bailey enlight- ened us about the faiths of the eastern countries and the development of Christ- ianity in Canada. We will be viewing the musical "Can Can" in Ajax on March 17 as a program on music appreciation, We have been assisting at the Hospital Tuck Shop-and- | will canvass for the Cancer Fund. ~~ On January 22, Ralph and Eleanor Bailey invited us to a party to "Beat the Winter Blues". On February 19, sorority girls, their husbands and friends enjoyed bowling at Centennial Lanes.
