Most of the band's concerts are presented in Oshawa, but the band has also play- -ed at Ontario Place.and the C.N.E., and recently in Bowmanville and Peter- borough. --- Oshawa Festival Singers founded five years ago by Mrs. Elsie Drygala who also is the director of the choir has made some mark- ed steps of progress during . that period. The choir has a member-- ship of 45 young girls rang- - ing from 12 to 18 years of age, most of them with trained voices, blended into a one beautiful sounding _ unit by their leader, Mrs Drygala. The choir has appeared in many. Music Festivals and won numerous awards in- cluding the famous Kiwanis Festival in Toronto. They are now. preparing for a concert tour of Scotland for two weeks in June.
