On Thursday and Friday evenings the students of Cartwright High School presented an evening of drama made up of three "The "Ghost of Black Jack', "Open Season for Lovebirds" and "The Castle of Mr. Simp- son'. On Friday evenng the plays were judged with "Open Season for Love- birds" being the winner with Jack Gunter and Eric Post as directors. Top actresses were Deb. Swain, Cindy McColl, Janet Parsons and Deb. McLaughlin. Top actors were: Paul Larmer, Bryan Sleep and Ray Porrill. Best director was Peter Kristen- sen. Great crowds were present both evenings. Paul spotted couples throughout the night giving away albums to the chosen winners. At 10:30: the DJ picked Barry VanCamp and Joanne Wolters as the best dressed couple. It was a house competition with the Ookpiks presenting "The Ghost of Blackjact", the Ali Kats presenting "Open Season for Love- birds" and the Tigers closed the "evening with "The Simpson'. The second evening the plays were judged and the winner being the Ali Kat play. The trophies were award- ed their directors, Jack Gunter and Eric Post. They chose Paul Larmer from the Tiger play as the best actor. The second best was Bryan Sleep from the Ook- - piks and third best actor was Ray Porrill from the Ali Kats. For the Actresses Deb Swain from the Ali Kats was first, Cindy McColl, a Tiger was second' and we had a tie for third, Janet Parsons and Deb McLaughlin, an Ookpik and an Ali Kat respectively. The judges thought the best director was of -the Ookpik play, Peter Kristensen. It was a very entertaining night. We are proud of the efforts displayed by all those involved to make it so successful.
