The third annual Awards Night, hosted by Scugog Township, was held Wednes- day at Town Hall 1873, and dozens of trophies, awards, and other presentations were handed out to honoured citizens, sportsmen and others in a program that included live entertainment and refreshments. ; On hand for the event was the Scugog Choral Society, who presented a segment of _ their recent production of H.M.S. Pinafore. Honoured as outstanding athletes for 1976 were Sue Gribben, the ladies inter- national championship win- ner, and Canadian skating dance champion David Porter. The Port Perry Midget "C" Hockey team winners of all-Ontario competition last year, was also on hand to receive plaques from the township. In appreciation of their contribution to the commun- ity in bringing about the new Scugog arena, the new arena committee were pre- sented with certificates of appreciation.
