The ice around the north shore of the. Island appears very threatening to resi- dents this year. A very humane story recently came to our atten- tion. It seems that there is a cat at Port View Beach named Whiskey. The resi- dents love him for his per- sonality and not his name. About a month ago he de- cided to do some travelling. After a few days absence, he dra himself to his beloved home, a sorry spectacle, more dead than alive. Here, the compass- ionate family carried him off to Dr. Brown at the animal health centre where . he stayed a month, He has now returned home with eight more lives to spare. He is note quite so hand- some with all his scars but is able to do his little bit in spreading joy.
