The telephone was the gift of the Scugog Island Women's Institute, who donated the money with which the phone was purchased. Harvie Reddick, Niagara Falls and Charlie Hase, Oshawa, both members of the Telephone Pioneers of America, travelled to Port Perry Sunday to install the phone for the museum free of charge. This phone completes a communication system at the museum which includes units in the log cabin, print shop, museum and the church.
