The Trophy and first prize was won by Mr. and Mrs. Tewksburg of Lindsay, and was presented by the club president, Harry DeShane, on behalf of Mrs. Murray, who was present during the' afternoon to meet the play- ers, and wish them all good luck. The balance of the prizes were won by: second, High 3 games, Mr. and Mrs. E. Hockley, Lindsay; First, Diane Burt, Dave Nicholishen high 2 games, Mr. and Mrs. D. McLaughlin, Oshawa; 2nd, high 2 games, Mr. and Mrs. J. Brown, Oshawa; and High 1 game winners, Mr. and Mrs. H. DeShane, Port Perry. Congratulations to the winners of the Club play- downs, for thef/New Horizon event for Senior Citizens, which ended with the team of Grace Love,\skip, Kay " McPhaden, vice, and Dhel Bentley, lead, who will ad- vance to the district finals in Whitby. The next open tourna- ments are on August 13 - Mixed Pairs; August 31 - Mixed Pairs; August 22 - Ladies Trebles; September 15 - Ladies Doubles. win mixed doubles tourney Port Perry tennis club mixed doubles tournament sponsored by Molsons Amateur Awards held July 30 winners were Diane Burt and Dave Nicholishen. Runners up were Suzie Bigglestone and Ty Burt. Scores were 6-2, 2-6, 6-2. Diane Burt received a silver plated tray and Dave Nicholishen a silver plated stein.
