_--___ r 3 - horse-shoes, jl 2 UTICA NEWS Many attend barbeque at Epsom by Mrs, Vera Brown Well. our Church's big weekend is over and we certainly were blessed. I understand that places around Epsom got rain but we had good weather all day. A good time was had at the school where young and old alike were taking part in the different events. There was log sawing, barrel races, stilt races, the dunking machine, throwing etc. The barbeque was well attended and many bale'. of the people stayed for the performances-which follow- ed. Bev. Simmonds favour- ed us with her talents at the organ while we ate. There was old time fiddling of Billy Clark and friends with accordian and guitar, barber shop quartet, sing song, Jessie Oosterlo and Bill Slute sang, duet by Diane Notting- ham and Christine Hinton, Epic Quartet and if you missed the Epsom Hillbillies then you missed the best of all. I am sure the committee would like thanks to go out to all who helped. Anniversary service on Sunday at Utica was not well attended. The message "The Tug of God" by Rev. Sellars as well as his Child- ren's talk was excellent. The anthems of the Epic Choir and the fellowship hour which followed the service was enjoyed by those who were there.
