The family gathered at the Rock Garden in Lind- say for pictures and then held a dinner. A dance was held in honour of this special occasion at Sunderland later on in the evening. Thank you to Len and Betty for a very enjoyable evening. On Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Len Sommerville and Melody Anne attended a family gathering at Betty's mothers. Mr. and Mrs. Roger Boyle and girls have been on holi- days for the past two weeks. They spent a few days with Roger's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Boyle at South Hampton. : Emerson and Thelm Rennick paid a visit to Mr. and Mrs. Bert Wanamaker on Saturday evening. On Sunday, Bert and Gertie had Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Snyder as Sunday night guests. We are glad to see Gertie Wanamaker, Chris Lav- ereau and Johnny Sturman home from their hospital stay. a. Mr. Bert Pugsley and Howard Hammond have been transfered to Oshawa Hospital. We wish you both the best of luck for a speedy recovery. Mrs. Sinna Bright is still in Port Perry hospital and we extend our best wishes. The Seagrave ball team was triumphant Sunday night. Corn roast must agree with you fellas. Martin Fisher was the lucky winner of the draw. Ladies, if you still require a ticket for the Fashion Presentation, to be held on September 13th at the Port Perry Scout Hall, please give me a call at 985-8350. The presentation will begin at 10:30 a.m. followed by a hot luncheon. Tickets are $3.00. There also is a baby-sitting service available. Please come out and help support our Scouts, Cubs, Beavers and Brownies, Remember our little ones are back to school, so let us keep a watchful eye. Brownies, girls 7-10, mem- bers of the Girl Guides of Canada, will meet at the Greenbank Hall on Tuesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m, beginning on September 13. Please note registration night has been changed to Tues. October 4th at 6:30. Registration will be $5.00. The child must be accom- panied by one adult. There will be slides and a guest speaker on this evening. Anyone else interested in attending is welcome to attend. Please give her a call with your news. Strong winds last Thursday evening over-turned this 20-foot bale thrower wagon on the farm of Ron Crosier, northwest of Seagrave. The wind came out of the southwest, up-turned the wagon, and cut a swath through a corn field. Crosier estimated the weight of the wagon at more than a ton.
