The gross motor program is designed to help perceptu- ally handicapped children. It has been shown to aid the child's self-concept, while the water greatly helps co- ordination, in addition to being a lot of fun. Organizers feel that com- bining the gym-swim this' year will be of great benefit to the children taking part. A maximum of 20 children will be accepted for the program which will be held Friday evenings from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Uxpool, and will run for 20 weeks. The program is expected to get underway early in October. For more information on how your child might partici- pate in this gym-swim con- tact Carol McKinnon at 985- 7651 (after 6:00 p.m.) or Noreen Bowes at 852-3937. To Truckers: Re Your Drivers Licences.
