The Pacers took a two goal lead in the first period on goals by Charlie Brown and Dennis Franssen. In the second period and third period each team scored once with Rob Cannon and Tony Oxley scoring for the Pacers. Port Perry 3 - Pickering 2 On Wednesday, October 12 the Grant Menzies Pacers travelled to Pickering and came home with a three to two victory. There was no scoring in the first period but at the end of the second period it was a two all tie with Dave Canning and Rob Cannon scoring for the Pacers. Port Perry 6 - Uxbridge 3 On Friday, October 14 the Grant Menzies Pacers host- ed Uxbridge and came up with their third straight victory by the score of six to three. The Pacers were never behind in this game by keeping a three to four goal lead all night. Michael Geer, Tony Oxley, and Mark Cleve- land scored -single goals while Dennis Franssen scor- ed three for the Pacers. The two goaltenders for the Pacers, Raymond Gib- son and Jim Treen have been outstanding in the first three games coming up with the big saves when the team would get careless in their own zone, The next home game for the Pacers is Monday, Oct. 24 at 9:30 p.m. when they host Pickering. Atoms appear solid The annual meeting of the Port Perry and District Minor Softball Association was held Sunday morning and Wayne Venning was re- elected president. Mac Mac- Millan was also re-elected as vice-president as was trea- surer Jack Cook Jr. and secretary Vin Walker.
