PORT PERRY STAR -- Wednesday, Oct. 26, 1977 -- 9 Nonquon wildlife education program An official opening is to take place November 2 of an Environmental Education Program on an 87-acre portion of the Nonquon Wild- life Area. The program, a co-oper- ative effort between the Dur- ham Board of Education and the provincial Ministry of Natural Resources is to provide interpretive and educational facilities for school classes using the area for environmental studies. The tract of land is located within the Nonquon Wildlife area on the west side of the river, and south of the 10th Concession Road. It is expected that Dr. Reynolds, deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Dur- ham Board of Education chairman Yvonne Christie will take part in the opening ceremonies, along with other officials from the Durham Board and the Ministry of .
