The chancel area was colourful due to floral arrangements, vegetable and fruit combination, Our own minister, Rev. Brawn, presided at the pulpit during opening exercises: after which he introduced the guest speaker, Rev. R. Mansfield, assistant to Christ Anglican Church, Oshawa. Also, at present, he is Probation Officer of Com- munity Social Services of the Province of Ontario. - He, the speaker, related a meaning: ful message to the children, and one for the congregation, Mr. Fred Densham, whom majority are acquainted, * again came to us vocal talent which was truly enjoyable. The choir also rendered an easy-listening number. Organist Mrs. G. Hunter accompanied all the singing. Offering collected by Mr, C. Reid and Mr. D. Bidgood. Many took advant- age of the invitation thus assembling in the church parlors when a satisfying * lunch was served blended with that time honoured tradition of a cup o' tea, followed by a piece of the decorated cake commemor- ating the 111th birthday of our church.
