The past week was filled with a lot of tear- ing about in order to com- plete the final preparations for C.H.S.'s 1977 Commence- ment. The Glee Club put in a lot of time striving for perfec- tion while the Year 5 Drama class skilfully rehearsed their play with hopes of Broadway in the future but so far success has brought a Pizza Party. Hyg the prom- inent guest speakers, includ- ing our Valedictorian, I'm sure were working on last minute thoughts to prepare themselves for the podium awaiting them. And then the actual perfor- mance! The Rec Centre stage was beautifully decor- ated displaying superior artistic talent with the school colours -- blue and gold. Mr. - Paisley opened the program- me and Board Chairman Mrs. Christie followed bring-- ing greeting from the Board. This year the Students Coun- - cils' contribution to the school were bronze medal- lions - to all students who received 75 per cent and over on an overall-average. In the past couple of weeks many of our students have been wracking their brains trying to come up with a winning entry in the Legion's Literary Contest. Good Luck, kids!
