The Mersco's came "out on the top of the'7:2~ decision. Once again Cap- tain David Burnett led the boys with a hat trick. Ray Daniels picked up two big goals while Steve Durham and Warren Geer picked up single markers. Brad Menzies picked up an assist. Goals for Ajax were scor- ed by Craig Brown and Steve Wilson. Once again Port came uf" with an excellent effort and the only two penalties called in the game both went to Ajax. The Mersco's are pleased to welcome three new boys to the ranks, Ronnie Craw- ford, Michael Sorley and Lake Scugog Hockey League " Rockbrune 10 - Sonya 3 Chris Stockton had a big game for Rockbrune as he picked up five goals and three assists. Sonya scored first when Fred Dart scored unassist- ed. Rockbrune came back with two with Rick Sheehey scoring from Dwain Hower then Brian Grubb from Chris Stockton and J. Cal- bot. Sonya tied it with Martin Kuypers scoring from Bruce Hicks. Then Rockbrune scored five straight. Three by Chris ~Stockton, the first unassist- ed and the next two assisted «by J. Bethany 4 - Utica 2 It was a back and forth battle with Bethany scoring the first two and then Utica coming back to tie it then Bethany going ahead again. Larry Currins started it off for Bethany from Gary Weightman. Then John Burns put them ahead 2-0 from Pat Lynch. Utica started coming back when Ernie Dufty scored from Dave Horton.
