Plan Float For Santa Claus Parade Cartwright High School news by Anne Kristensen Ah!. It has finally come to C.H.S. PROGRESS. For starters, we have a few more students this year, also. Two more on the teaching staff. The Board gave us some black slime to paint on the blackboards (Unfortunately putting the chalkbrushes out 'of business). The art class is constructing a bigger and better float for the Santa Claus parade. Now believe it or not, the old raggedy, mouldy green-coloured staff chairs have now been re- upholstered as soft, plush, comfy seaters done in moderate shades of brown and orange. This of course will only lead to one thing. Since the office walls are still that "has-been-green' they don't match the chairs. So the office will probably have to be redecorated and the 'supply room and then the staff cubical of a washroom and well....I guess they can skip the attic (that is as long as they keep the door from the washroom shut). trick can only get pulled once in the same week because That when we got our new typing cabinets Thursday, we made sure they were the same mediocure yellow as the oldies. You can fool all of the people some of the time, but you can't fool some of the people all of the time. Which only goes to show, you can't fool us more than once. Onward! Curling season has officially opened. Monday after school we played inter- school games. With numer- ous novice curlers this year the night was spent puttering around and basically trying to look moderately intelli- gent by staying on our feet. We have high hopes for a competitive school team for both the girls and boys! With Christmas coming up right on our tails, the bustling around is just beginning. So in this busy season we have no time for firsts. But believe it or not I have found one.
