by Judy Young Country Village came up with their first win on Sat- urday beating Children's Boutique 4-2. Nancy Young scored her first goal early in the game: for Children's Boutique but Barb Elliot soon tied the game for Country Village. Chris English again put Boutique in front but Linda Warriner scored her first goal of the season making it 2 all. Village scored two more goals by nameless players but I'm sure Rosie Ring will excuse our oversight!. We have said this before, but it is really amazing how the team playing two games really fly in the second game. Country Village had the Jean Machine in passing gear against Young Dominion Hardware. from the opening whistle. It was PORT PERRY STAR -- Wednesday, Nov. 23, 1977 -- 19 Three teams compete in Ringette League 3-0 for Village on markers by Paula Haugen, Joanne Free, her first, and Linda Warriner, before Karen - Young scored her first of four goals for the-Hardware gang. Early in the game it was all Country Village with three goals going to Linda Warriner and three assists, one goal to Barb Elliot and one assist, Paula Haugen 2 assists, and Janice Jack- man scoring her first and assisting on another. The Hwardware gang took over in the 2nd period with goals going to Wendy McDougall, Pam Daniels, and Brenda Foote all assisted by Karen Young. A super, super game ending in a 7-7 tie. Well done girls, you make Ringette a very exciting spectator sport.
