Rev. John Hill officiated at the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Slute of Raglan. The groom is the son of George and Verna Fraser. Grandson of Florence Hill and the late Wm). Hill. Linda Powell of Columbus sister of the bride, was matron of honour. Bridesmaids were Sandra Darnley of Oshawa, sister of the bride, and Sandra Hutchison of Port Perry, sister of the groom. Kenneth Fraser of Port Perry, brother of the groom was best man. Ushers were Donnie Slute and Leon Slute of-Raglan, brothers of the bride. The reception was held at Raglan Church hall. The happy couple are now residing in Port Perry. St. Amour-McGee Immaculate Conception Church Port Perry, was the setting for the marriage of Peter~and Cathrine St.- Amour on October 15, 1977 at 4 p.m. Cathy is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mel McGee from Greenbank and Peter is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert St. Amour from Wind- sor. The church was decorated with baskets of fall coloured flowers and lighted candles. Given in marriage by her parents, the bride looked radient in her empire waisted gown of white chif- fon over taffetta with full length train. Her chapel length veil was trimmed with daisies and held in place with a matching headpiece. She carried a bouquet of pink carnations, white daisies and babys breath. The maid of honour was Miss Wendy Ritchie, cousin of the bride. The brides- maids were Mrs. Debbie Beattie and Miss Janice Mc- Gee, both sisters of the bride, and Mrs. Jean Pra- muk, sister of the groom. Junior bridesmaid was Sheila Boughen and the flower girl" was Brenda Smith. Both girls are cous- ins of the bride. All the brides attendents were dressed in apple green gowns with flowered chiffon jackets and matching apple green picture hats. They all' carried hall coloured flowers. Ken St. Amour, brother of the groom was best man. The ushers were Duncan St.Amour, brother of the groom, Louis Pramuk Sr., brother-in-law of the bride and Terry McGee, cousin of the bride. Louis Pramuk Jr., nephew of the groom, acted as ring-bearer. The groom and his attendents wore chocolate brown tuxedos, with beige ruffled shirts. shirts. The most Rev. G. Raymakers officiated the ceremony. Music was rendered by Mrs. Betty Stone at the organ, and Mrs. Ann St.John as soloist. The bride and groom were piped out of the church to the tune of "Scotland The Brave' by pipers Jerry Taylor and Bill Visser from Tyrone. The reception was held at Uxbridge legion, where the parents of the bride and groom met the guests. The brides mother was wearing a gown of peach coloured chiffon with a corsage of talisman roses and the mother of the groom chose a yellow chiffon gown with matching jacket and a mauve orchid corsage. Mr. Ted Woodyard, uncle of the bride was master of cere- monies at the dinner. Music for dancing was provided by Irwin Smith at" the organ, and enjoyed by everyone present. For the honeymoon, the bride chose a rust and white jersey dress with matching accessories and a corsage of yellow miniature carnations. Guests attended from Windsor, Port Elgin, Picton, Colborne, Orono, Toronto, Peterborough, Guelph, Lind- say, Oshawa, Tyrone, Hali- burton, Port Perry and Greenbank. An honoured guest was Peter's aunt, Mrs. Jean Thomas, who canie all the way from Elford, Essex, "England to attend the wedd- ing. ' 4th, *. Elizabeth Reimer, daughter Metropolitan United Church, Victoria, B.C. was a beautiful setting on June 1977, when Christine of Mr. and Mrs. David P. Reimer, of Victoria, be- - came the bride of Bruce Irwin Heayn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Orval E. Heayn, of Kingston - (formerly of Scugog Island). Rev. E. Laura Butler per- formed the double-ring ceremony, in which the bride and groom exchanged antique gold rings. Their wedding vows were their own.adoptation of the tradi- tional ceremony and includ- ed both sefs of parents giv- ing their children in marr- iage. Escorted down the aisle by her father, the bride was beautiful in a pure silk, cream-coloured gown trimmed at the bell sleeves and full-circle hem with wide lace. Her picture hat was trimmed with matching lace motifs and was adorn- ed by a miniature of her bouquet of talisman roses, baby's breath and ivy. Her maid of honour, Miss Sally Stubbs and brides- maid Mrs. Laurel Shave, both of Victoria, were gowned alike in green floral sheer gowns with cape sleeves. They wore match- ing picture hats and carried bouquets of yellow and white daisy mums and ivy. The doll-like flower girl, 5 year old Allison Panter, niece of the bride, wore a long yellow dotted swiss dress with matching bonnet and carried a basket of yellow and white daisy mums and ivy. The bride's gown and those of her attendants were all beauti- fully made by the bride's mother. : The groom wore a three- piece tan suit, pale yellow shirt and contrasting tie and a talisman rose boutonierre. His best man, Dr. Brian Donnelly, of Port Perry, and ushers Derek Reimer of Victoria, brother of the bride, and Randy Panter of Vancouver, brother-in-law of the bride, were attired alike in brown jackets and. vests, cream-coloured NTA trousers and pale green shirts with contrasting ties, Their boutonierres were yellow daisy mums. + 120 guests attended the buffet wedding reception at the Oak Bay Hotel in Vic- toria. The bride's mother re- ceived the guests in a sheer gown of blue and cream flowers on royal blue back- ground. her corsage was white freesias. The groom's mother wore a mint green jersey gown with sheer cape trimmed with seed pearls. Her corsage was pink sweetheart roses. After the reception, the happy newlyweds joined some 50 guests at the bride's home before depart- ing on a weeks honeymoon. They are presently residing in Victoria. a. In the week previous to the wedding, Christine re- ceived her Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Victoria and Bruce was awarded a Master of Arts degree in Community and Regional Planning at Uni- versity of British Columbia, Vancouver. Bruce is cur- rently employed as a Regional Planner with the Environment and Land Use Committee Secretariat, in Victoria. The Secretariet is a multi-disciplinary pro- fessional staff serving a senior committee of the B.C. Cabinet.
