OPP report bad money in Scugog A counterfeit American $50. bill turned up recently ain Port Perry. Police report that the bill was used November 10 to pay for the tab at a Queen Street restaurant, and was identified as being bogus a week later by the Royal Bank. There have been no other reported cases of phony money in Scugog Township recently, but American bills have been turning up in Oshawa and the Barrie areas. TAPE THEFT A set of head-phones and 22 tapes were reported stolen November 18 from an unlocked car parked at the rear of a residence on Queen Street in Port Perry. The tapes were in a black container and valued at more than $120. CALF STOLEN A 450 pound Hereford calf was reported stolen some time between November 17 and 20th from a farm on Concession two, Scugog Township.
