Sherri Allen top Ringette scorer By Judy Young The big news from Port * Perty Ringette this week is the seven foot Christmas stocking filled with goodies from local merchants, which will be raffled off Dec. 24, 1977. We are told by Eileen Foote that the very first ticket was bought by Bob Young, sold to him by none other than Nancy Young. Good luck on your project, girls. I'm sure you'll make somebody's Christmas so much nicer because of Ringette. Game one on Saturday had Young Dominion Hardware beating Children's Boutique by a score of 6 to 3. Sharon Ashmore scored two goals for the Hardware gang as did Karen Young. Bonny Burton and Wendy McDoug- all counted one each with assists going to Wendy McDougall with two and: } Bea RED CROSS Blood Donor Bonny Burton got one. Young Hardware's player of the week was little but mighty Pam Daniels. Pam is not the best skater in Ringette but seems to get there faster than anyone else through _ effort alone and totally disrupts her oppon- ents plans, week after week. Way to go, Pam! Children's Boutique had Sherri Allen with all three goals with assists going to Connie 'Southern and Lisa Canning. The second game was won by the_ flying Children's Boutique team over Country Village by a score of 7to 6. It was a very close game with the Denim Machine scoring a great comeback with three goals in the second period. The big shooter for Child- ren's Boutique was again Sherri Allen with four goals and one assist; Debbie War- riner with one goal and one assist, Chriss Heurkins, one goal and one assist, Chris English, one assist and Connie Southern, one assist. Country Village markers go to Linda Warriner with two goals and one assist, Barb Elliott with two goals, Paula Haugen one goal and two assists, Joanne Free one goal and Janice Jackman one assist. A big thank you-to Mr. Jack Kane for the use of his hay wagon and to Mr. Gerry Taylor for his tractor and Jer Git driver, Jamie, which enabled us to put a float in-- Chris--Stockton--and--Jon-- the Santa Claus parade. The girls had a super time and added to the Community Christmas spirit.
