Jan. 29 right after Sun- day School. Hot dogs and beverage will be provided and each family is asked to bring a finger dessert such as cookies, donuts etc. Our Birthday Box visi- tors at church on Sunday included little Emily Smith, Mark Sturman, Don Bea- cock and Ivan Barrett. Our best wishes go out to all of you. The general meeting of the U.C.W. will meet to- night, Jan. 11 at 8 p.m. in the church. Mr. Roundell will install the officers at this meetings. Demonstrates Belly Dancing by Lynne Warrne The Potpourri Handicraft - Guild of Port Perry held their first meeting of 1978 on January 4th at the Town Hall. There were discussions on what the members would like to learn during the year and on any demonstrations that could be arranged, such as fire safety and rug making. The Guild has been ask- ed to display some of their handiwork during the Cann- ington Centennial celebrat- ions this summer. After the business was taken care of the members were introduced to Mrs. Sandra Wray who did an interesting display of belly dancing. Sandy does the true Eastern form of the dance and we saw how it is a beneficial- exercise and fun. aswell... Her take place on Thursday evenings at the Latcham Centre. . The next meeting at the Town Hall will take place February 1, 1978 at 8:00 p.m. An interesting evening is planned and visitors are welcome.
