Both teams played well in the first and second periods with very close checking. At the end of the first period the score was a 1-1 tie and at the end of the second it was a 2-2 tie. This proving it was a very close game thus far. Scoring for Port Perry in the first period was Howard Lee from Kevin Ferguson and in the second was Kevin Ferguson unassisted. Port Perry came back strong in the third period keeping Bowmanville from scoring but taking two goals themselves. Scoring this period for Port Perry was Kevin Ferguson from Mark Farrell and Mike Pratt from Greg Williams and Howard Lee. Port Perry was victorious again against Bowmanville with this win of 4-2. On Saturday, Jan. 14 Port Perry travelled to Thorn- bury to attend a Pee Wee tournament. Port Perry was victorious the first game with a 5-4 win over St.Marys. Port Perry gave it all they had and never slacked off. They played super both offensively and defensively. The two goal tenders, Paul © Bateman and Paul Kingston played super goal but both let in two goals apiece. All goals in this game were very hard fought for. Scoring for Port Perry was Mike Pratt from Mike Dickson, Howard Lee un- assisted, Mark Farrell fro Darren Desautels and Ke Ferguson, Darren Desautels from Ken Ferguson, and the last one was "Darren De- sautels unassisted. The second game in the tournament Port Perry was defeated by Oak Ridges with a score of 9-0. This game Port Perry still played super hockey but just happened to come up against a very powerful | team of a higher calibre. Our two goaltenders were kept busy and played super goal against this club which had very powerful and accurate shots on goal. Oak Ridges out skated and checked Port Perry through most of this game to take the win of 9-0. Sunday January 15 Port Perry visited Ajax and was defeated with a score of 4-1. In this game Port Perry played very sloppy defens- ively. They were not as strong as they could have been offensively either be- cause of poor passing and not enough checking. Howard Lee, with one second left to go 'in the game finally broke the shut out. Only 2 Weeks Til The 8th Annual BLOW THE WINTER BLUES SPECIALS , al RICHARDS Beauty Studio D. Lois Milne, B.A., 0.D.
