Mr. and Mrs. Joe Baxter and daughters attended a wedding of a neice in Ottawa a couple of weeks ago. Mr. and Mrs. Rick Laroc- que have been on a trip to the United States. The boys have been staying at South River with their grand- parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Farrow. Rick phoned home on Saturday evening and - they were at South River. They are visiting his sister, Mrs. Debbie Beacock at New Leaskard, this week before returning home. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Laroc- que of Uxbridge were last Monday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Vic Larocque. . Kinsmen entertain local businessmen The Kinsmen Club of Port Perry entertained local businessmen last Tuesday evening at their first annual "Appreciation Night'. Six- teen merchants were in- vited to the regular meeting of the club to be thanked for their assistance to the local Kinsmen since their Charter in February 1971. Kin National President, Don Masterson attended the meeting and spoke to the Kinsmen and guests about the organization on a national basis. One of the Kinsmens lat- est projects, the promotion of Heritage Day across Canada, is now underway. On Heritage Day, Monday, February 19, the Kinsmen have arranged for the show- ing of a free movie at Mini Cinema for the Senior Citi- zens as well as a dinner.
